Next event: 13th to 21st February 2021

Half Term Fun

Valentines Day - Sunday 14th February

  • Watch the video on how to make paper flowers. Use the video to get started, but feel free to get creative with materials and/or designs! Paper? Card? Colour/decorate your own paper? Use magazines? Need a vase; got an empty toilet roll? We can’t wait to see what you come up with. And the best part - you can give what you make to someone you love.

  • Then why not make a secret message card (scroll down to the video called 'Valentines Secret Message Card') to go with your beautiful flowers. You can find the written instructions and templates if you need them here.

Pancake Day - Tuesday 16th February

  • Watch the video on how to make a perfect pancake and get ready with: flour, eggs, milk, water and butter, plus your favourite toppings! What will you put on yours?? Can you flip it? YES YOU CAN!

  • Then how about making your dream kitchen from Lego. What would you include? What bricks can you use for what? If you don’t have any Lego or building bricks, how about designing your own kitchen on paper. What would you have in it? Who would be there with you? How would you use the space? What would you cook? Let your imagination run wild! We can’t wait to see what you come up with.

How to share your photos with us

Please only include photos of your creations, and not of children, as this drive is public. Take care not to delete any folders! You can do this on a computer. Or via your phone, as long as you have downloaded the “Google Drive” app and are signed in.

  1. Take a photo of your creation and save it to your desktop if using a computer. Name the file using your child’s first name, and class. For example, “Claire, Chestnut”.

  2. Access our Google drive and double click on the folder that you want out of:

    • Lego Kitchen Creations

    • Pancakes

    • Paper Flowers

    • Secret Message Cards

  3. On the left side of the screen, there is a colourful + sign which says “New”. Click on that. Click on “File Upload” (not “folder upload”). Find your photo and double-click on it to add it to that folder on the drive.

  4. Do the same for photos in any of the other categories, in the corresponding folder.

If using your phone, follow the link above, click on the right folder for you, click the colourful + sign at the bottom of the screen, and then “upload” a photo, or “use camera” to take a picture at that time.
